Yay summertime! It IS a special time. It's when families are together making memories, reuniting, traveling, picnicking, watching movies in the park...you know, all that fun outdoor stuff. In the travel industry it's time for specials (hence my strange pun), by that I mean special pricing galore; and since it's not too late to plan a trip for this summer, nor too early to start planning for winter and NEXT summer, you can still take advantage of those specials. If you can barely think past how to keep the kids this week, read on.
Colorado's abundance of sunshine, even in winter, often makes it seem like perpetual summer...almost. So far this year, the weather has been cooler, wetter and snowier than usual; so we took a break and went to the desert, to one of my favorite national parks - Arches NP. So with sand in my shoes, let's talk about those specials.
European River Cruises - AmaWaterways Specials If you've been on a river cruise, then like most folks who have, you loved it: no seasickness, fabulous food, sightseeing iconic locations, Christmas markets, medieval castles, wine, wine and wine. Ama Waterways' "Melodies of the Danube" seven-night cruise stops in nine cites, is complete with bike excursions or walking tours. The best part? This cruise is on the brand new AmaMagna, AmaWaterways’ newest state-of-the-art ship. AmaMagna redefines the river cruise experience. Twice the width of traditional European river ships, the AmaMagna offers more than 50% ultra-spacious suite accommodations with full balconies as well as five onboard bars, four unique dining experiences, an expansive Zen Wellness Studio, two soothing massage rooms, a hair salon, nail salon and much more. I'm ready! Read Forbes Magazine's write-up on the AmaMagna here.
AmaWaterways offers a Vow Renewal cruise, a tulip cruise next spring, as many as 26 different European River Cruises with a variety of themes, plus river tours in Africa, Vietnam, and China. There is a Golf Concierge package you can add to a Danube cruise, that lets you play world class courses in five different countries.

International Flights - Special Pricing Are you aware that the popular online booking engines are NOT the best place to book the best price for your overseas flights? Travel advisors have access to airline consolidators and other sources for airfares that are not available to the public. By all means do your online searches, then give me a call.
Need a beach getaway?
If you're lucky enough to live close (or even close-ish) to the seashore, maybe I can't tempt you with a warm, sunny, relaxing beach vacay. Everyone else, listen up. If your dream vacay is in the Caribbean, or along the Atlantic coast or the Gulf coast of the US or Mexico, take advantage of the fact that although we are in hurricane season, the really active part usually doesn't get going until August; if you're lucky, not until late August and into September. All-inclusive packages are abundant and on sale! The later you wait to take your trip, the less expensive, yes, but also the likelihood of having your trip disrupted by Ma Nature. It's a toss-up; either way, your travel advisor can handle the details and bless your vacay with some perks you won't get on your own.

How is this for a special? Our WICKED weekend in New York is $200 off until it sells out! Single occupancy is sold out, so grab mom, sis, hubby, wife, whomever and get your Broadway on.
Special things happening at GEA I wasn't going to tell you yet, as I'm planning a 'big reveal' in a newsletter dedicated to the topic. Global Exotic Adventures' host company Gifted Travel Network is now a member of Virtuoso. If you're not familiar with Virtuoso go ahead and google them, but I'll definitely be telling more about the benefits to you when I break the full news. Being affiliated with the world's number one consortium of travel advisors is not gonna hurt! I see a rebranding effort coming up - I'm not sure how much our look will change, but I'll keep you posted.
'til next week...
